The Meridian Hall
01 · The case for this building
Acquired 2019
One wall of glass, and the day walks across it.
The readers had the best seat in the city and never knew it: seven arched windows taller than most houses, facing eight degrees west of true south, so the sun enters at breakfast, climbs the coffers by noon, and leaves gold on the oak by late afternoon. There is no other single room like it in our book, and we have looked.
It suits one tenant at a time — a gallery, an atelier, a practice that wants its whole life in one grand volume. The north gallery above is quieter and cooler, and priced accordingly. Turn the dial: the plan's wash shows the patch crossing the floor hour by hour, exactly as it will on your opening day.
