OVERCAST began with a complaint: everything sold to us for autumn was either too thin to matter or too heavy to wear indoors. So we made the layer in between — eight pieces, cut generously, in cloth chosen to be warm at nine degrees and bearable at seventeen.
Nothing here is seasonal in the disposable sense. The collection is added to; it is not replaced.

We photograph the cloth, not the pose
Most clothing is sold on a body you will never have, in a light you will never stand in. We found that unhelpful. So every garment here is shot the way you actually meet it — close enough to read the weave, the stitch density, the way the yarn takes light.
One camera, one grade, one grey afternoon. If a piece can’t hold your attention at this distance, we don’t make it.

The way we work
Small runs, reordered
We cut between two and four hundred of each piece. When a size sells through we note it, and it returns in the next run rather than the next season — which is why a size is sometimes marked out rather than quietly deleted.
It makes forecasting harder and waste rarer. Everything is made within four hundred miles of the mill that supplied it.
