CUPCAKE

A power bank engineered like our lives depend on it,
and named like they don’t.

0 mAh

Enough to charge your phone 2.4 times, your earbuds eleven times, or your ego once.

0 watts

Phone to 50% in 24 minutes. Fast enough that you’ll forget which pocket the cable’s in.

0 grams

Lighter than a croissant. Heavier than a promise. Exactly right for a jacket pocket.

DEAD phone?

Never AGAIN.

Two USB-C ports. Charge your phone and your friend’s phone. Or your phone and your other phone. We don’t judge.

The BRICK,
REimagined.

Power banks have looked like soap bars since 2011. Cupcake is a rounded slab of anodized aluminium with one readable number on the front — how much cake is left — and nothing else. No flashlight nobody asked for. No four mystery LEDs. A number.

An explanation, since you asked

Why “Cupcake”?

Our engineers spent eleven months on cell chemistry, thermal design, and firmware that treats your battery kindly. They spent eleven minutes on the name. A cupcake is small, dense, reliably improves your day, and nobody has ever been intimidated by one.

We stand by both decisions. The chemistry got us 500 charge cycles at 80% health. The name gets a small smile at airport security, every single time. Engineering is about trade-offs; this wasn’t one.

Fine PRINT, large type.

Can it charge a laptop?

Slowly, honestly. 30W keeps a light laptop alive through a long meeting; it won’t feed a gaming rig. We’d rather tell you that here than let a product page imply otherwise.

Why is there no app?

Because it’s a battery. The number on the front is the app. Firmware updates ship over the cable on the rare day we need one.

Is the name a joke?

The name is a joke. The 500-cycle cell, the aluminium shell, the two-year warranty, and the thermal firmware are not. We find this division of labor works well.

The Macaron special edition: three macarons stacked inside a brass-framed glass case, with a round screen on top reading 92 percent.

One more thing

The MACARON.
A different pastry entirely.

Three macarons under glass in a brass frame. It is smaller, heavier, and objectively less practical than the Cupcake — one output instead of two, five thousand milliamp-hours instead of ten. We made four hundred of them because we wanted to.
