“We weren't trying to design an icon. We wanted the lamp you turn on before the big light.”
The first HALO was bent by hand above our kitchen table. Seventeen prototypes later, the silhouette stayed almost the same. What changed was everything you feel but rarely notice: the weight of the dimmer, the warmth at 10%, the way the shade disappears when you sit down to read.
